Dr. Andi Fletcher is a nationally recognized expert in leadership and organizational development, with 26 years of experience working closely with more than 200 CEOs, program directors and senior teams in the nonprofit, public and corporate sectors.
As the Founding Director of one of the nation’s most highly acclaimed Expanded Learning Programs, she initiated California’s first comprehensive afterschool legislation, leading to $730 million in annual After School Education and Safety (ASES) funding to support more than a million children in 4,000 communities each year.
As a consultant, she led nine major national and statewide Initiatives, worked closely with the Center for Collaborative Solutions, and was a member of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers senior team, building statewide public/private partnerships in New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Hawaii, Missouri, Kansas, and Florida.
In communities across the country, she has helped organizations secure more than $250 million in funding to support their work. More than 35,000 participants have benefitted from her keynotes and workshops at national and regional conferences throughout the United States. And her books and articles are among the most widely read in the field.
In addition to her work as a consultant, she currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Stanford Research Institute, California Health Policy Strategies, LLC and the Center for Collaborative Solutions and is a member of the California Afterschool Network’s Leadership Team and the California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division’s Sustainability Committee.
She holds a PhD in Political Science from UCLA and has worked, lived, and traveled in 56 countries on six continents, bringing people together to promote international awareness, understanding, and friendship.
