Whole Child Health and Wellness through Expanded Learning Webinar
The CCS Healthy Behaviors Initiative (HBI) supports local and statewide efforts by transforming expanded learning programs into places that embed healthy eating, physical activity and food security in their policies, practices and behaviors—changing the lives of the students, staff and families.
In this webinar, you will learn about the origins and work of HBI, including examples highlighting the Practices spelled out in its Step-by-Step Guide, Changing Lives, Saving Lives. You will also learn about the California Afterschool Network’s latest Strategic Direction and the newly released work of the Whole Child Health and Wellness Collaborative. And finally, you will learn about promising practices that are proven and can be implemented locally through partnerships, using the HBI Guide as a starting point.
